IMS MAXIMS has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Irish Technology and Products Innovation’ category for the Biomnis Healthcare Innovation Awards 2013.
Members of the IMS MAXIMS team, including the company’s CEO Shane Tickell, will attend the highly respected Biomnis Healthcare Innovation Awards Ceremony on May 10th in Dublin. The ceremony will recognise innovation in the provision of healthcare and celebrate excellence in a wide range of categories from innovation in quality of service delivery to the provision of patient safety initiatives. In each of the ten categories an independent panel of high profile judges will look for organisations and individuals that have made an exceptional contribution to healthcare throughout 2012.
IMS MAXIMS has been shortlisted for the award after playing an integral role in St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust’s (STHK) mission to become the first paperless NHS trust in England with the introduction of advanced clinical software.
The success of the Electronic Order Communications (OCS), Bed Management System and eVTE solutions has since seen IMS MAXIMS and STHK enter a first-of-a-kind unique relationship to become strategic partners in jointly offering other hospitals a suite of tailored clinical and administrative software products that improve efficiency and enhance patient safety and outcomes.
Shane Tickell, CEO of IMS MAXIMS said: “Being shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Irish Technology and Products Innovation’ category is a testament to the hard work of the IMS MAXIMS team in working in partnership with healthcare organisations across the UK and Ireland to delivering agile solutions that meet their needs.
“St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust shares the same aspiration as IMS MAXIMS, that is to provide a cradle to grave electronic patient record for all patients which is available at the right place and the right time. Our proof is the fact that we have already worked in partnership to design, plan and execute solutions that have had very tangible benefits to patients.”
The winners of the Biomnis Healthcare Innovation Awards will be announced at a dinner at the Clyde Court Hotel, Lansdowne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin on Friday 10th May 2013.
