Regrettably, the HealthChat with Jeremy Hunt has been postponed due to his appointment to Foreign Secretary in yesterday’s (10/06/18) Cabinet Reshuffle.
We are liaising with the Department of Health and Social Care on finding a date with the new Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, and hope to reschedule in the Autumn.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you would like to be notified when the new event is organised or have any questions, please email us.
Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP is Secretary of State for Health & Social Care. He has held the office of SoS for Health since September 2012 – which on 3rd June becomes a record at 2,099 days! During his tenure he has overseen acute financial austerity, pushed for a ‘7 day NHS’, watched demand rise (and waits lengthen), jousted with President Trump on social media, introduced new JD contracts, absorbed social care into his remit and avoided numerous reshuffles.
What is he really like? What is his legacy to health and social care? What is his priority for the remainder of this Parliament? How does he envisage solving the nursing and doctor staffing crisis? Can he change the view that the Tories are anti-NHS?
This is the blockbuster HealthChat of 2018 and will sell out very rapidly indeed.
