MAXIMS Bed Management (Real-Time ADT)
MAXIMS Bed Management simplifies Admission, Discharge and Transfer with graphical views and lists organised for the needs of ward staff and bed managers. The screens are integrated with MAXIMS Clinical Flow modules including Order-Communications and Care Pathways.
Ward Views and the Whiteboard provide interactive views for the desktop and a read-only view for wall-mounted screens. The ward view may be shown on a mobile computer or laptop.
Patient details are captured from the PAS system and pre-filled into templates for emergency or elective admissions. Any patient search will return the patient’s details and their current ward and physical location.
The ward view can show a list or graphical view including bays in place of precise locations. Alerts may be shown alongside each bed including Infection control status, allergies, adverse drug reaction and child safety. Beds are defined by speciality or type of bed. Colour-coding shows bed status, availability and time to estimated discharge.
Bed managers view bed availability and status across the hospital or in individual wards including pending emergency or elective admissions, through transfers and discharges. Reservations can be made for elective and emergency admissions with allocation to specified wards.
The Infection control team can view admissions and Pathology orders and results. The team can see the patient’s physical location by the level of ward, bed or bay. An Infection status alert is visible to all staff.
