IMS MAXIMS Primary Childhood Immunisation Solution goes live in two areas in the HSE
As part of the HSE interim IT solution for the Primary Childhood Immunisation Programme, IMS MAXIMS developed and implemented an IT solution for the former South and Midland Health Boards. The first phase of the system went live in both areas on 1st July 2008. The solution was specified, developed and deployed within 14 weeks of order placed.
Dr. Catherine Murphy, Chairperson of the Primary Childhood Immunisation Group for HSE South expressed her delight with the “new and improved system and acknowledged the huge contribution made by IMS in developing a high quality product within a very tight timeframe and for the co operation, dedication and professionalism shown to date.” IMS would like to also acknowledge the tireless efforts by the HSE teams from the former South and Midland healthboards, both of which worked really hard to ensure the project was delivered on time and in budget. This was supplier and HSE working closely and very well together to achieve success.
The solution, built around the core MAXIMS web based application, allows users to capture the full childhood immunisation dataset, manage schedules (planned and ad hoc) based on DOB, and caters for all local and national reporting requirements using the MAXIMS Report Builder. The solution itself is based on the same architecture that runs the NTPF solution and is well established already in Ireland and in numerous clinical and administrative deployments in the UK in both public and private sector domains.
